About The Author

My experiences in teaching literacy in the classroom and at home fueled my drive to earn a PhD in Education.  My graduate work centered on the curriculum, instruction and assessment of literacy.  I have a strong interest in dyslexia and discovering those students who may benefit from early intervention through a response to intervention program. I also have a strong interest ensuring that all students receive the foundational skills of literacy.
